Hi everyone!

Summer's in full swing, and for us here at Le Fou, that's meant a whirr of activity. We ended our Picky Eaters: Ultimate Collection campaign on May 23 and immediately got to work building our pledge manager so that we can keep the momentum (and Picky Eaters fun!) going.

With that, we've got some news:

The Picky Eaters: Ultimate Collection pledge manager is all set to open!

We'll be conducting a "smoke test" this week. What's that? It's a way for us and BackerKit to make sure there are no hiccups in the process and everything is working smoothly. Over the next few days, 5% of our backers will be receiving the survey. If that goes well, the survey will go out to all of our backers very soon!

Hold on, what's the BackerKit survey?

It's super important for our backers to complete the BackerKit survey. BackerKit is our pledge manager. The pledge manager is where you will confirm your order, add on more goodies from the campaign, and pay for shipping. If you're stumbling onto this update after our campaign and weren't a Kickstarter backer, no worries! Just click this link and you will be able to pre-order everything from the Picky Eaters: Ultimate Collection Kickstarter campaign.

For those of you who are new to Kickstarter, here's a reminder of how crowdfunding works and where we are in the process.

How does the BackerKit survey work?

Over the next few days, you will be receiving an email with a link to the survey. Just click the link and respond to the questions about your reward preferences, confirm your shipping information, and upgrade your pledge and/or purchase any add-on items if you wish. 

Moved? Want to adjust your Picky Eaters add-ons? Can't find your survey after we sent it?

It's all good! Just go to our BackerKit project page and adjust your responses as you wish, or click "Lost your survey?"

A note for our backers in Alaska and Hawaii:

You will find a question in the survey that asks you to identify yourself as a backer with a shipping address in Alaska and Hawaii. You will see shipping rates for the lower 48 states at the end. Please note that prior to us locking orders later this year, you will receive an additional charge (+$10 for orders that do not contain a Collector's Box, +$30 for orders that contain a Collector's Box. Also, add-ons may incur additional shipping charges than the amounts reflected in the rest of the U.S.). We will be sending a reminder in a future update prior to locking orders about this.

Hi everyone!

We launched the original Picky Eaters campaign less than one year ago with a big dream for a game company that made accessible, beautiful, thoughtful games everyone could play. We were so blown away by the response to Picky Eaters that we had to follow up with expansions and accessories to amp up our little game that could.

And so we did. We just ended the Picky Eaters: Ultimate Collection Kickstarter campaign (of which you were a valuable part of!) with 857 backers and $64,559 raised!

We're beyond grateful for the support you have all shown us for not just Picky Eaters but our game company. Thank you so much!

So what's next?

For those of you who have done crowdfunding campaigns before, you probably know what to expect. But it can be confusing for those of you who are doing this for the first time. Here's a handy little graphic we made to help answer some questions you might have about what to expect:

Here's what will happen over the next few weeks:

• Kickstarter will process your payment.
• We will be setting up the pledge manager in BackerKit, which will open to all of you around July. What does that mean? BackerKit will help manage our communication with backers, streamline the shipping process, and ensure that we send you your order in an organized manner. You'll also have the opportunity to adjust your order. 
• Speaking of manufacturing: We've already begun the process of finalizing design with Panda Manufacturing, who we've partnered with again to get you the best quality games and accessories so your Picky Eaters experience is high-quality and fantastic. Here's a glimpse of the manufacturing process and when you can expect your order:

• Wait, how does shipping work? We learned a lot of lessons in our last campaign about simplifying shipping and making it a better process. For this campaign, we have partnered with Quartermaster Logistics, who will be handling shipping your order to you after manufacturing is complete. You will confirm your address and pay for shipping in BackerKit; Quartermaster Logistics will take that information and send you your order when games have arrived at their fulfillment hubs.
• Where's my Chicago Hot Dog mini expansion? If you participated in our pre-launch campaign, you will see the Chicago Hot Dog mini expansion in your cart on BackerKit when you confirm your address. If you missed out on backing the Chicago Hot Dog mini expansion but want to get it, you'll have an opportunity to do so in BackerKit.

If you missed our Kickstarter campaign, no worries!

We've partnered with Backerkit again as our pledge manager, which means if you missed getting Picky Eaters on the Kickstarter, you've still got a chance to get in on the ultimate game for foodies!

• Don't see a link to "pre-order" on our Kickstarter page? Please hold tight. It takes some time for Kickstarter to finish collecting information from our backers and for BackerKit's pledge manager system to kick in. We will be updating our FAQs and social media once everything is in place, so follow us in those places for up-to-date information as to when you can pre-order your piece of Picky Eaters!

What's next for Le Fou Games?

With our second Kickstarter campaign now successfully behind us, we're putting all our energy into getting you your orders as quickly and efficiently as possible. As we mentioned above, we're already hard at work doing design verification so that we can begin mass production as soon as possible.

Throughout this process, expect updates from us about where we are in the manufacturing and shipping process. We value your support and want to keep you in the loop with where your order of Picky Eaters: Ultimate Collection is.

We've also been busily working on designing new games. We can't talk much about it now, but we are in the midst of playtesting and tweaking a silent, cooperative, tableau-building game that we hope to release very soon. That's all we can say for now, but you can be sure that we'll tell you more details as soon as we can!

And of course, we'll be eating lots of food along the way :)
